All photographs have been taken by the newspaper’s photo journalist Andrij Tschuj. The exhibit is unique in that it encapsulates, in images, a two-year span of events that took place in the city and its surroundings. Images taken by Andrij Tschuj attract the viewer through their diversity. They depict what we’ve lived through and what, perhaps, we might have already forgotten. Every image captured by the photographer helps us re-live the various moments of our lives that passed by and have already been consumed by oblivion.
”It’s difficult for me to say what these photos are about,” - says Andrij Tschuj. “Every photo is snapshot of our city’s life and also of certain emotions. Everyday Lviv, which we might not even notice, may seem like a boring and mundane city. But when moments from its everyday life appear before us in pictures, you suddenly realize the beauty and mystique it possesses, with all its aspects -- good or bad.”
