“Dreams -- a Journey into a World Behind Mirrors” - by Petro Romanchuk -

19 2009
From August 25, (opening on Tuesday at 5:00 pm), 2009, through September 8, 2009, at the LvivArt Gallery (21 Lesia Ukrayinka Street, Lviv, Ukraine) - “Dreams -- a Journey into a World Behind Mirrors” -- an exhibit of paintings by Petro Romanchuk.

Some say that dreams are nothing but illusions; others claim that our entire life is nothing but a dream. In our sleep, a virtual reality comes alive palpably. And that, which we see, no matter how outlandish, we perceive as real and natural.

Are our dreams a retrospective into the past or a glimpse into the future? Or a parallel reality?

Petro Romanchuk’s works might not in themselves hold answers to these questions, but they will take you into a world in which you can explore them for yourself.

Petro Romanchuk was born in 1975 in Lviv, Ukraine. From 1991 through 1996, he attended the Lviv Ivan Trush State College for Decorative and Practical Art. From 1996 through 2002, he studied at the Glass Art Department of the Lviv Art Academy. He took part in а number of national and international exhibits in Ukraine and abroad. His works can be found in private collections in Ukraine and other countries.
