↑Gallery news↑From January 14 (opening at 5:00 pm) through February 7th, 2010, at the LvivArt Gallery (21 Lesia Ukrayinka Street, Lviv, Ukraine) -- “Dreams of the Mamai Cossack” -- a personal exhibit by Lviv artist Yaroslava Tkachuk.
Yaroslava was born in Lviv in 1981. She is a graduate of the Kosiv College of Applied and Decorative Art, Department of Fabric Art, as well as a graduate of the Lviv National Art Academy, Department of Fabric Art.
She has participated in exhibits throughout Ukraine, as well as Germany, Austria and Spain.
Her current exhibit centers on the representation of the “Mamai Cossack” (Kozak Mamai) -- an almost iconic image in Ukrainian folklore representing the resilience of the Ukrainian people.
