From July 9, 2009 (opening at 5:00 pm) through July 29, 2009, at the LvivArt Gallery (21 Lesia Ukrayinka Street, Lviv, Ukraine) -- “At the Crossroads” -- a personal exhibit by Ukrainian post-avant-gardist Petro Hulyn.


Petro Hulyn was born in 1942 in Sokolivka, Vinnytsia region, Ukraine. In 1968, he graduated from the Ivan Trush College of Applied Art in Lviv. Member of the Artists Guild of Ukraine since 1977. He has illustrated more than fifty books for publishing houses in Ukraine as well as abroad. Recipient of numerous awards in book illustration competitions.


Petro Hulyn has participated in a number of exhibits in Ukraine and abroad, including international biennale and triennale exhibits in Europe. Some of his works adorn the offices of European heads of state who participated in the Central European Summit in Lviv in 1999.


He has held personal exhibits in London, Moscow, Warsaw, Prague, Bratislava and numerous cities throughout Ukraine.
